On the youth conference of Russian compatriots dedicated to the preservation of historical memory

On September 3-4, in Allinge (Bornholm Island), a youth conference of Russian compatriots "Preserving the historical memory of the courage and heroism of the soldiers and officers of the Soviet Army displayed during the liberation of the Danish island of Bornholm during World War II" was held. The participants also laid flowers at the Memorial to Soviet servicemen who died liberating Bornholm from the Nazi invaders, at the Allinge city cemetery.

The event was organized by Irina Petersen, head of the Center for Legal Support and Integration of Compatriots in Denmark, with financial support from the Fund for Support and Protection of the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Russian Embassy in Denmark and members of the Patriot search unit based at the Embassy’s school.

Young Russian compatriots expressed a desire to join the military memorial work in order to preserve historical memory.
